{"id":17349,"date":"2023-08-24T11:53:27","date_gmt":"2023-08-24T08:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/plastena.lv\/?post_type=produktas&#038;p=17349"},"modified":"2024-09-13T14:04:41","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T11:04:41","slug":"polyvinyl-chloride-pvc","status":"publish","type":"produktas","link":"https:\/\/plastena.lv\/en\/products\/plastics\/structural-plastics\/polyvinyl-chloride-pvc\/","title":{"rendered":"Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"six mobile-four columns right\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Polyvinyl chloride<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; it is a rigid, sufficiently heavy structural plastic, commonly called according to\u00a0<strong>the letters of its chemical name \u2013 PVC<\/strong>.\u00a0This plastic is quite widely spread and earlier was well-known as Viniplast.<\/p>\n<p>PVC plastic is classified under two types:<\/p>\n<p>a) PVC-U \u2013 non-plasticised PVC (rigid);<\/p>\n<p>b) PVC-P \u2013 plasticised PVC (flexible).<\/p>\n<p><strong>PVC-U<\/strong>\u00a0is the most commonly used type in our country.\u00a0PVC plastic is highly popular due to its chemical stability, and high resistance to different aggressive chemical media. It features good adhesive characteristics (it glues well), it is easy to bend after heating, form by heat treatment, and it may be welded by using PVC electrodes.
